Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-08-06
This policy describes what TacTic500 collects and why. The short version: we collect what the game needs to run, and we do not sell your data.
What we collect
Account data: your email address, username, optional avatar, and sign-in provider (email/password, Google or Microsoft; passwords are handled by our auth provider and never stored by us in plain text). Game data: your entries, lineups, results, balances and transaction ledger. Payment data (paid contests): deposit and withdrawal addresses and on-chain transaction references - we never hold your private keys. Technical data: IP address, user agent and timestamps in security and audit logs, plus basic usage analytics and error reports.
How we use it
To run contests (scoring, leaderboards, settlement, prizes), to secure the service (rate limiting, abuse and fraud prevention, audit trails), to send transactional email such as results notifications (you can opt out of results emails in settings), and to fix bugs. Your username and avatar appear on public leaderboards; your picks are sealed until the contest locks. Your email is never shown to other players.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers the product runs on - hosting, database/auth, email delivery, error monitoring and market data infrastructure - each processing data solely to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal data and we do not run third-party advertising.
Retention and your choices
Contest and settlement records are retained because settled results must stay replayable and auditable. Security logs are retained for a bounded period. You can update your username, avatar and email preferences in account settings. To request account deletion or a copy of your data, contact support from your account email; we will action requests within a reasonable time, subject to records we must keep for completed real-money contests.
